BACKGROUND

“Will not end as a restaurant. By making the restaurant business its center, will foster a worldwide brand by innovative approaches with other fields.” Sympathizing with this way of thinking by Sota Atsumi, a full-blown project will start from the culinary capital, Paris.

Born 1986 in Chiba. Went to France in 2005 when he was 19 years old, and served at Michelin 3 star restaurants such as Troisgors, Stella Maris, and Joel Robuchon. Sota was selected as the chef of Vivant Table in 2012, worked as the opening chef for Le Clown Bar in 2014, and was awarded the Best Bistro Award from the most prestigious restaurant guide in France, Le Fooding. Sota has opened limited time restaurants in New York, London, Tokyo, and Mexico and received high evaluation.

CONCEPT

“MAISON” is a French gastronomy restaurant that opened at the 11th arrondissement of Paris in September, 2019. The restaurant gives out its uniqueness for being in the center of a metropolis as a two-floor solitary house. Sota Atsumi, who is acknowledged to play an important role for French cuisine in the next era, will be the owner chef. Tsuyoshi Tane has been responsible for the building, David Lynch, a film director, has written the logo, and Tomoko Otsu has been welcomed into the team as the creative director to bring together the project to generate a creative view of the world, making chef Atsumi’s culinary art the team’s foundation for creation.
